Traditional Signwriters do exist!
Did you think we were a dying breed, not on your nelly! We love to be able to get the good sable brushes out and use flair and techniques that cannot be matched with modern computerised machines.
When restoration and heritage create and support the past and present.
When building owner Joshua Hodge was restoring his heritage shop into his family home a waterproofing issue arose. The exposed wall was acting like a sponge in bad weather. After prudent negotiation with local authorities and considering the heritage value Joshua knew what was needed. The Carrington area in Newcastle is steeped in the building of the city, a foundation of engineering, ship build and probably the heart and soul of ‘Newy’ as its locally called. Joshua contacted Mick George of MG Signs, Cardiff who is well known for his passion and traditional sign skills and modern techniques.
MG Signs specialise in traditional sign skills such as brush painted lettering, gold leaf lettering and gilding to name a few. Modern day paints are used however to enhance the quality and make these signs last even longer. Or perhaps you just want a temporary chalk sign, again something we can get our teeth into and really enjoy.
Conserve our heritage, conserve your signs, and let us combine our traditional values and artistic abilities to bring out the best of the old world charm. Take action - contact us, phone or email MG Signs.
